Arthur got into his room and slothfully slump unto his king size bed, he heaved a heavy sigh apparently thinking about something before he brought out his phone and slide it opened, Lucy's picture showing as the wallpaper. He held the phone for a while staring at the picture and slightly touching it sometimes, truly he had felt something for her before they separated but he could not judge then if it was love, like or infatuation but now he can, now he knows it's love.
After the sudden separation between Arthur and Lucy, Arthur had hoped that since he's getting separated from her, he wouldn't be able to see her much again and which would definitely will make him not to think of her anymore but he was wrong, the separation only made it worst for him as he couldn't do without thinking of her everyday, he'd try her contact million of times but it wasn't going through and when he successfully finish school, he'd render himself and mind to work so he wouldn't be able to think of her again but, even though it helps during his working time, he spends the rest of the night thinking of her again, wondering how she's now copying, had she truly study in Cambridge or any other universities in France, is she working now and is she still single? Did she love him as he do? And for once in his life he regretted not confessing his love to her at the moment he got the chance to.
"Damn it" Arthur snorted and sighed heavily again as he rolled over his bed grabbing his black thick blanket to his body, he slide his phone unlocked and dial Linda's number, this is the only person he feels he can talk to especially at this moment
"Holy mother of cocks! Is that my baby?" Linda's screeched from the other side and Arthur rolled his eyes before replying
"Not its your son not baby"
"Whatever, but I think you just dial the wrong number, kindly check and make correction" her voice sounding more disappointed than cool
"Holy crap! Mom this is Arthur and I'm calling you, Mom" he expatiate, almost sadly
"Oh really?" She blushed
"Guess you're blushing already"
"Whatever, so what makes you forget your Mom so easily and for that long?"
"Work"
"Oh, just like I thought but you shouldn't be that busy since you're not the only one there"
Yeah, she's right. But she surely wouldn't know that the truth is that he is, they barely contribute and that's when they're over busy. Arthur thought. It wouldn't be a good idea to make her know so topic changed
"Any news about Lucy Mom?" He asked in a quiet calm and worried voice
"Nothing" Linda replied, her voice too calm now and sadness could be derived from the outspoken word
"And what about her Mom and their house, are they not living their anymore?" Arthur asked, oblivious of what happened to the house
"The...I think they changed address" Linda stammered, she had made the research and got to know that their house had been on fire just like nineteen years ago but she don't want to tell him, it could only make matter worse and look confuse to him
Arthur sighed and muttered "okay then, I think I'll search around when I get back"
"Get back?" Linda asked surprised
"Yeah, sorry I forgot to say earlier, we're coming back soon" he raked his fingers through his hair
"And how many you are coming back" she asked with a cold voice
"Three of us"
"What, but why?"
"Mom, I got to sleep now I'm tired" he said fatiguingly
"I understand when you say you're tired but can I just get the reason of them coming with you again? Can't you have a private life anymore or travel alone again? Come on you're not a kid anymore"
Arthur chuckled and replied "You sounds as if you don't want to welcome them at all"
"Hell! Yes!" She replied loud enough for Arthur to wince and abruptly chuckled again
"Okay, don't worry Mom, I'm not complaining now right? So you should have nothing to worry about"
"Maybe" she shrugged and the line went dead. Arthur was happy it did as he dropped his phone and shut his eyes to sleep but not without taking another glance at his wallpaper, Lucy's picture.
