Chapter 15
Just a few minutes later, Arthur's drove in and Linda gasped in relief. She waited as they alighted from the car and then led them in.
"Still beautiful" Ben commended as they entered while Nana rushed out to welcome them
"Welcome sirs" she bowed as she offered to lead them to their room
"Is this not Nana?" Anderson said removing his glasses
"Yeah she is" Arthur replied
"Wow, nice to see you again, it's been awhile. So you c
ame back?"
"Can you show us to our room now?" Ben interrupted gruntingly
"Oh yeah" she replied as she led them off to their rooms each
It's the next day and Lucy was inside watching movie and devouring the popcorn cup with her legs on the chair, she's putting on an oversized sweater which slid down one of her arms revealing her pale sensitive skin.
She checked the time and it was ten minutes past two, she realized she'd not step out since yesterday that her Mom had asked them to go home in hurry, she'd asked her several time the reason she'd done that and what was going on but what Doris could only do was warned not to step outdoor till she ask her to, she'd not say anything more than that but Lucy was confused.
"Hey Lucy" Doris called as she stepped into the living room and Lucy almost choke at the sight of her. Heaven knows she wouldn't have believe it's her mom if not for her voice and for the fact that it's only two of them that are inside.
"Mom?" Lucy manage to call out of the full popcorns in her mouth
"Is this you?" She asked as she laughed uncontrollably. She was putting on a white Bob wig with sunglasses and her dress is definitely unlike her.
She sighed and said "We have no foodstuffs at home anymore and I need to get to the market to get one so we wouldn't starve ourselves staying indoor"
"Okay Mom" she said still laughing
"But.." On getting to the door she stopped and turned back
"no going out" she added putting out her forefinger in a warning style
"Okay Mom" she said again, this time with a frown and Doris shut the door after leaving.
A few minutes later Lucy's phone rang and she picked it up after checking who the caller is.
"Hey Arthur" she smiled as she put the phone to her ear
"Hey babe, how are you doing?" He asked from the other side, through in a calm and low voice
"Fine" she blushed
"What are you up to?" He asked
"Nothing, just alone in the house, stuck watching movie with popcorns" she rolled her eyes
"Can we go out for lunch?" He asked and Lucy's paused for awhile
"I don't think..." She mumble but Arthur cuts in
"Please don't say no, I just want to see you for something and it's very important" he pleaded sadly and sincerely
'Should she say yes? Arthur is not a bad guy so there's nothing in going out with him for lunch.' She thought...
