Chapter 14
Linda's car stopped before the airport and she alighted from it while Arthur also stopped his behind it.
"Hey, Linda" an old man who will be in his late fifties laughed as Linda approaches them. He stopped while the three companion behind him also did the same while watching around.
"Hey uncle" Linda smiled as they hugged
"Hey look at you beauty" he laughed again revealing his yellowish teeth
"Hi uncle" Arthur called from behind
"Oh is that my Arthur?" He asked as he brushed Linda away slightly to hug Arthur.
Linda leaving Ben's side made him see Anderson who's just approaching them. Anderson indeed is an handsome and tall man, his white skin glowing in the ray of the sunshine, he might look attractive from afar but as he drew nearer to Linda he looked callous and devilish.
"Hi Linda" a smile lurked on his lip as he kissed her forehead. Linda knew if there's any reason for him to do this, it's because of the press. Shouldn't there be a nice welcome back and nice to see you again between the great and rich families of High Fantasy tech company?
"Welcome back Anderson" she smiled as she watched him putting back his sunglasses on.
"Hey Arthur" He called happily on sighting Arthur who was not seeing him before.
"Hey Dad" Arthur beamed as he rushed to hug his Dad. It's been five years now.
"My son has become a Man" Anderson smiled broadly revealing his small set of teeth. Arthur obviously is a carbon copy of his Dad.
"You have done a good job here" he smiled at Linda who could do nothing but smile back. A smile but an uncomfortable one, full of fear and hatred.
"We should get going now" Ben called facing them.
"Sorry Linda, we're spending some days with you" he smiled at her and she smiled back.
"You're always welcome uncle" she said as she made his way to her car.
"I'm sorry I don't know you'll be coming with companions as we only came with my car and Arthur's" she'd said this seeing they'd come with six companions as they're all dressed in gray suits and on glasses with telecom systems in their left ears each.
"Oh really?" Ben smiled
"Then I'd like to go with Arthur" he added as he headed to Arthur's car while three of the companions followed him.
Linda hopped in her car as the rest the three companion sat in the backseat while Anderson took the front seat beside Linda
The drive was going smoothly for a while but too silent so Linda decided to put some music but Anderson caught her hand and held it in for a while, while he stared into her face.
"Will you let go of my hand and let me drive?" She snapped after struggling to get her hands off for awhile which was to no avail
"It's been a long time so we shouldn't drive in silence" he said calmly after releasing her hand
"Which is why I wanna play some music" she replied fixing her gaze on the way as she drive
"You and I know that's not what I'm talking about right?" He said again and Linda sniffed and frowned She's not feeling alright with this anymore, she's not just feeling okay and she cursed the day she accept to marry Anderson cause that day has marked the beginning of misfortune in her life.
Linda couldn't say anything as she increased the speed and happily she got an escape as she drove nearer to her house, her parent's formal house actually and Anderson could still remember this. Where she'd first meet and see the beautiful innocent Linda, where the agreement to their marriage has been concluded. The more he stared at it the more he looks guilty.
"Here" Linda said as she parked the car in the garage. The three companion had already hopped out while Linda and Anderson followed. The five standing expecting and waiting for Arthur's arrival which is already taking time.
