"Oh, I'm tired " Doris yawned as she lied on the sofa, they're obviously in Linda's house while they just came back from their outing
"Me, I'm seriously hungry " Linda complained while she make her way to the kitchen
"Are you going to cook?" Doris asked surprise
"Of course " Linda replied as she picked an apple from the dinning table
"What of the Cook you employed?"
"Nana you mean?" She asked as she took each bite of the apple ravenously
"Whatever, I don't know her name" Doris frowned
Linda laughed and replied "well, she's on leave"
"Leave?" Doris asked surprisingly
"Yeah, she looks devastated this morning and I think she needs some rest so I asked her to go home, asides today is Sunday at least we enjoy, she enjoy too"
" Oh really?"
"Yeah " she replied taking another apple
"What are you gonna do with that again?" Doris asked
"Eat"
"Thought you said you want to go and cook" she asked and Linda frowned
"Oh, I understand. Don't worry let's go together, lazy girl " she snorted as she paced up to the kitchen but not without grabbing Linda at her wrist.
"Hey Mom, we're coming" Arthur shouted from the sitting room holding onto Lucy
"Is Lucy with you?" Linda asked shouting back
"Yeah "
"Okay" she smiled but Doris quickly cut in
"Where are you guys going to?" She screamed back and when she try to poke her head out, Linda held her back
"You can go but don't stay long okay?" Linda quickly replied and wink at Doris who doesn't seems to be too happy about it
"What's all this Linda?, you didn't even let me know about their whereabouts" she frowned
"They're okay Doris, I'm sure they're attending the birthday party together" she giggled
"But you should have at least let them speak up" she added and Linda sighed
"They're not babies anymore Doris, let them move on with their life and choose"
'At least within this limited time" she added slowly and sadly
"What do you mean about limited time" Doris asked surprised
"Anderson called and asked about his school and the final exam and I told him, he's finished so he said something about making him come over to his side"
"Oh my God, so Arthur will be going to New York any moment from now and you didn't bother to tell me?
" come on, trust me I don't want that to happen. I don't want to be away from my only child, and not to that Callous man " she snorted
"So what did you say?"
"I told him he didn't buy the idea. That he was not happy with it at all" Doris sighed
"But..."
"But what?"
"I'm still scared" Linda cried
"Oh come on Baby, you don't need that" She hugged her in a motherly manner
"Be strong okay?"
"We'll fight this through" she added as she parted her back gently.

It's 7:05 PM and it's already dark outside but hardly could you notice this as the street light are performing their duties, different type,kind and colour of cars moving to and fro., Pedestrians are however not left behind.

A song by Tatiana is being played and Arthur keeps using his finger to follow the beat on the steering as he keep driving. Lucy is not comfortable with the awkward silence neither is Arthur who tries to find his way out by following the beat of the song. Lucy glanced at him. "Wow, he look really handsome" she thought. Not as if he's not really handsome before infact Arthur has been all girl's dream during their high school and this point to the fact while some girls do get jealous of Lucy for being so intimate with him, Some do think they are siblings while some said they're dating.
Lucy feels more uncomfortable as she sat down picturing what she just sighted, she decided to steal a glance at him again,
'Damn! he really look handsome and hot but wait he has change his hairstyle? How the hell didn't I know when he has a new haircut and his dressing? I didn't even take note of that when we were coming ' she thought as she covered her face with her palm
"When did you have your haircut?" She blurted out
He laughed heartily "you mean you're just seeing the haircut?"
"I asked you when not to laugh "
"Well, when we got back "
"You mean you went out after that?"
"Hm"
"Hey, where are you going?, thought you said you just want to get something outside" she asked as Arthur drove into a big compound, it's a boutique.
"Yeah and here we are " he smiled revealing his white small set of teeth. He alighted asking Lucy to wait while he walk over to open the door for her.
"Welcome princess" he teased and try to make a bow when Lucy knocked his forehead
"Ouch!" He screamed
"That serves you right cause only God knows what you're up to this time around"
