Chapter 21
Fred and Lucy could be seen in the hospital while Lucy wrapped herself on the bench, her head resting on her knees and tears helplessly rolled down her red eyes as she silently prayed for her Mom's recovery, Arthur was standing beside her with both his hands stuffed in his pocket as he wore an expressionless look.
The Doctor came out and he was the first to approach him while Lucy scrambled up to them.
"How's she Doc?" He asked anxiously
"It's really critical, she'd suffered a lot of pains and lost so much blood before you brought her here but Thanks to God cause a minute late she would have give up completely"
"Oh my God!" Lucy gasped
"But how's she now?" She asked worriedly
"She's got into a coma" he blurted out
"What?" Fred and Lucy clamored
"Though she might be physically broken but mentally, she's struggling to live, struggling for someone or struggling for a reason" he rolled over his words and paused
"Which mean we still have hope" he concluded looking into Fred's eyes
"It's okay Mr Fred" he said consolingly as he placed his hand on his shoulder
"I'm sorry for the loss but you both can manage in the hospital until she's alright" he said regarding to the burned house as it was already late at night. How news travel so fast!
"Thanks Doc" he replied nodding repeatedly as he moved back to let his hands slip off his shoulder, he hates these moments, he doesn't need this consolation of a thing, they'll have just help to curb this from happening especially by keeping his Dad from dying or getting killed not this fucking consolation.
"Can we see her?" Fred asked
"Yeah of course, why not? But be careful with the stuffs" He smiled and left
Just as they were about going in, the NeWS at night which just started few minutes again took Fred attention as he turned his head and there is their video, how they'd been asked questions and before Doris had collapsed, he turned back and entered while Lucy followed

Ben and Anderson were still in the living room when the NeWS started, Doris, Fred and Lucy video was played while the house on the other side was burning, Ben shoved the paper he was holding into his hands as he watched the news and clenching his teeth together he asked one of the companion beside him.
"Why?" He grunted
"The boy came out unexpectedly and our initial findings was that he's in school" the one whose palms had been shot and is now having two bandages on them replied. Since They don't want Linda and Arthur to know about the incident, Ben had commanded them they must all report home after leaving the hospital so as to not receive questions about their whereabouts or not to cause suspicion. Though it was not four of them that was able to come home, two returned home while the other two whose their condition's were critical stayed over.
"Really?" He smirked
"Just as I thought earlier. Killing a dog while sparing the puppy is just like nurturing another dog to bite"
Anderson quickly took the remote and switched it to another station when they heard steps coming from inside.
Ignorantly, Linda entered and told them the dinner is ready
"We'll be with you soon" Ben grumbled waving her off
"You're the one cooking?" Anderson asked
"Not really. Nana and I" she replied and left
"We need to be more security conscious henceforth" Ben said to Anderson and he nodded
"Moreover, we should leave this place now as soon as possible. Make sure everything and anything that is needed to be done be done tomorrow cause we're leaving day after" he said
"Okay guys, Delicious meal is ready" Linda cheerfully shouted from the dinning room and Anderson smiled but Ben didn't

Fred and Lucy just came back from Doris' ward, the hospital is now getting more empty but not of some patients and their families and some workers.
Lucy sat back on the chair she'd sat down before, seems that's where they'll be sleeping tonight. She wrapped herself together again with her head resting on her knees but this time she's not crying, she's is a bit relieved to hear that there's still hope while Fred was able to sit down now, he sat down besides her.
"Since when did all these start?" He asked Lucy who was busy staring at him
"You mean this meaningless violence?" Lucy asked as that's what she could only refer what she knows nothing about it as
"Meaningless?" Fred chuckled lightly
"You called this meaningless?" He looked at her and she lifted her head up from her knees
"Well, I don't know" she shrugged
"What do you think I'll call it when I don't even know why these are happening"
"Well, yes. That's true" he said
"So you and Mom are keeping something from me right?" She frowned
"Come on, why will I do that?" He said placing his hand on her knee
"Then tell me, let me know" she half yelled
"Don't worry, when the time comes"
"Time comes?" She asked and he nodded
"And when is the time coming" she arched a brow
Fred laughed and replied "soon"
"So answer my question"
"I have a question first" she said and without allowing him to reply first, she quickly asked "what are you doing here?, why did you come and who told you we're in danger?"
