Bryan got more angry and pushed Doris away from her when she was holding him from aiming the gun at Fred and she fell on the table and collapsed to the floor. Everybody's attention turned to see if Doris was alright, by this time Lucy who was behind Fred had tiptoed back and then Carl wanted to seize the opportunity of the distracted moment to kill Bryan but as he was about fishing out his gun, Bryan had noticed him and he was too fast. He shot Carl.
BACK TO STORY
Fred bent down beside Carl drowsily and held him. He shook him
"Hey Carl, wake up. Carl! Man wake up" he called shaking him again but he was silent
Bryan grinned devilishly and started to aim the gun back at Fred who was oblivious of his environment as he was still bent over Carl.
"Fred watch out!" Iris screamed and suddenly hugged Fred then he shot. Ben pulled the trigger and shot.
Fred began to get back to his sense when Iris suddenly started to loose her hand from him. He turned to look at her and there she was, fainting silently and her eyes fading, her hands slipped completely from his body and she fell flat to the floor.
Bryan held her hand just before she laid on the floor but it was too late. He stood still and stiffed staring blindly at her.
Lucy on the other hand had successfully made her way through to the danger signal switch and had successfully put it on, by this time the cops in station should have receive the signal that the certain house is in danger.
"Iris" Fred called rather slow and almost in a whisper. He let his hand skim to her neck then up to her cold cheek and he swooped her into his arms. She wasn't breathing and her blood was over his hand by the time he had removed the hand he used to support her shoulder.
"Iris" he whispered tearily as he bent his head a bit low to hers.
"Now you feel the pain right?" Ben suddenly asked and he dropped her back gently and stood up.
"What do you mean by feel the pain?" He asked painfully with anger, his eyes already stung with tears.
"The pain you caused me by what you did to my Dad"
"What do you mean by what I did to your Dad?" Fred snapped taking a step further
"You're the only one causing me pain here man. You killed my friend, killed my fiancée, my father and still took away what should belong to us to yourself and you're asking me if I feel your pain!!?"
His eyes was bloodshot and he was obviously blinded by anger as he continued taking steps to Bryan who was also stepping back.
"Take it easy man, remember I still got this" he said lifting his gun up to frightened Fred but he doesn't show any fear, it doesn't seem he was scared at all.
"Then shoot me!" He shouted angrily
"Shoot me right now! Complete your evil work you callous bitch!" He screamed harder and Ben winced and chuckled
"I don't know why, but you look so strong and bold and believe me there's nothing I like more than that"
"Motherfucker" Fred cursed under his breath and Ben's snapped his head to face him.
"Be careful what you call me kid" he scowled and brought up his gun again. Doris who had collapsed started to regain her strength as she struggled her eyes opened.
Unknown to them, the cops had been outside silently for a while.
Fred stood still as Ben started to aim the gun at him and when he was about to pull the trigger the door flung opened and the cops entered.
Ben was surprised and was forced to drop his gun and handcuffed. Fred rushed back to where Iris and Carl had laid and immediately the cops started to talk Lucy and Kim rushed out.
Soon after the ambulance had been called. It arrived, Iris and Carl was pulled in and Fred joined them. Doris had woke up and was feeling much better. She and Lucy followed the ambulance with their car.
