"Seriously, I don't expect that and you guys put your life at stake without even letting me know about anything?" Doris queried when they'd sat down in the living room each with drinks in their hand
"We're sorry Mom, but telling you? I'm sure we wouldn't be able to do anything" Lucy chuckled sitting beside Arthur.
"It's okay now isn't it? At least we weren't hurt" Fred said and put the glass cup to his mouth
"But it was risky" Arthur said
"We have no choice, we have to do that" Carl said bringing out the spectacle, he lifted it up and added with a grin "and it worked"
Doris grinned broadly and faced Arthur "I'm just so happy seeing you guys back and together"
Lucy smiled and flushed
"What about Linda Arthur? It's been a while since I've seen her, you can actually invite her over for dinner here"
Fred and Carl's gazed had came in contact at the mention of Linda. They knew talking about her will surely shift to Anderson who is one of the criminal they have to deal with and right now the last thing, they wanted is to talk about him generally in the public.
Fred cleared his throat and quickly cut in before Arthur could "Mom, I think she's so busy" he couldn't tell her she's in the hospital, Doris wouldn't hesitate to ask why she's in the hospital which will be uncovering Fred, Carl and Lucy being at the house the night he was shot. They'd keep that a secret from her for reasons
"Busy? Busy doing what?" Doris asked surprisingly and when Arthur was about replying again, he cut in
"I think the last time I heard about her, maybe she's out of the country or something but I'm not really sure"
Arthur was already looking confused at the moment and Doris was staring blankly at them
Fred stood up abruptly and pulled down his shirt "Arthur can we talk please?"
"Outside" he added and Arthur nodded lightly and stood up.
"Mom, we'll be right back" he said and left while Arthur followed
"What's wrong?" Doris asked confusedly
"It's okay Mom, nothing is wrong. I think they just want to have a brotherly talk" the same confused Lucy faked a smile
"I can help you talk to Arthur about Mrs Linda, maybe he'll have to call her to come back to country" she added and Doris smiled
"Let me go help Kim in the kitchen" Lucy said and was about going when Iris also stood up to follow her.
Doris and Iris had talked when they came in and she'd seized the first opportunity to know about her and it came out that they really liked each other.
"Oh no, you shouldn't bother yourself Iris" she tried to make her sit back but she smiled and shook her head
"I'm fine Mom" she smiled and Doris smiled and nodded at her.

"I'm sorry for lying the other time" Fred said as they sat outside on a bench in the compound. It was already getting a bit darker for the evening.
"It's okay" Arthur shrugged
"But can I ask you something I don't understand?"
"What's it?" Fred asked without facing him
"I don't really understand what is going on. Every time I'm always in the dark. I know you have a reason for lying there to your Mom, I know there's something you're up to"
"What?" He turned his face to him
"I can just sense it. The fact that she doesn't know anything about your plan and how you even came to our house then, I'm sure you're still keeping something"
Fred sighed and tap his thigh twice, looking for what to say
Arthur continued "I'm sorry if I cross my boundary but the fact that I've been kept in the dark for so very long time, I don't know what was going on and what is going on, I don't even know anything about the incident of nineteen years ago now, I don't about your Dad and I don't even think I know about my Dad too but I'm just there. Yeah, just there like a dumb trusting people I'm not supposed to all because of my ignorance. I don't even know what you all has been going through, I don't know what Lucy was going through but each day I tried to convince myself that she's living a better life and has forgotten me, I'm just assuming everything wrong"
This time Fred sighed heavily staring at him pitifully, he felt his heart broken and could see as tears had gathered in Arthur's eyes, it's good he realized he doesn't know his dad after all.
"I'm sorry Arthur" he said and laid his on his shoulder to draw him nearer
"I know it's hard to bear but know that we're always there for you"
"But I'm so ignorant and I want to know a lot about these"
"Don't worry, I'll let you know when it's time. We're always there for you and should I tell you a secret?" He smirked
"What?"
"Lucy love you, she really do and has never forget you"
